Oceania Cruises' New Riviera
The second Marina class ship will begin it's life in the Mediterranean and will feature the most popular ports in that region. CruisePortAgents.com recommends the June 17, 2012 sailing of the Iberian Odyssey which begins in one of Europe's least know gems, Lisbon and continue in Morocco, Gibraltar, the Costa del Sol and Barcelona in Spain, stunning Provence, before ending in Italy by visiting the gateway ports to Florence and Rome. What a great way to see the Western Mediterranean, on one of the newest and most luxurious vessels at sea. Oceania Cruises has established a reputation for its world-class cuisine.
Pricing is still available at the special "2 for 1 plus free air rate." In addition Oceania is offering $1500 in additional savings per stateroom. Veranda staterooms begin at $5049 for this 10 day sailing. For the same itinerary, you can save up to $500 per passenger by sailing on September 14.
If you would rather visit the Eastern Mediterranean, the Riviera will cruise for 10-nights from Istanbul to Venice on August 3, visiting 5 Greek ports including Corfu and Mykonos, Kusadasi where you can see the astounding Roman ruins at Ephesus, Dubrovnik and Split in Croatia and ending with an overnight in Venice.

Crystal offers cruise along Europe's Newest Riviera in Dalmatia
Our favorite itinerary on Crystal is the August 23, 2012 Quest voyage that offers a combination of some of the central Med's most popular destinations along with some newly discovered treasures. Venice, Dubrovnik, Corfu and Santorini have long provided tourists with their own unique atmospheres. But how many have discovered the Medieval splendor of Ravenna, the natural wonders of Slovenia's Karst region, the scenic and historic Croatian ports of Opatija and Sibenik and the lesser known Greek harbors of Argostoli and Pylos, site of an historic Peloponnesian sea battle. The cruise ends in the cradle of western civilization Athens. If you've already visited all the local sites a day trip to Delphi provides a stunning ride into Greece's classic heartland.

Stillness and Majesty: Alaska!
Stillness, quiet, drama and majesty. The difference between everyday life and our experience in Alaska is so striking that it haunts us long afterwards and the cool wilderness of the great north draws us back.
On an Alaska cruise the passengers stand at windows, on balconies and on outer decks, sometimes singly and sometimes huddled in small groups staring outward. Occasionally a whale or a mountain goat is spotted and the excitement spreads. Even frenetic children catch on to the daily ritual of watching, of absorbing the stillness and drama of nature. An Alaska cruise is an experience like nothing else. And if you haven't done it, you are missing one of life's quietest adventures.
And now is the time to plan your Alaska cruise. Now you have more choices of dates, lines and cabins. And the prices are likely to be higher after the beginning of the year. So now is the time. And what a great Christmas present for your family.
Celebrity Cruises - Prices for Alaska start at $699, $899 and $1499 for Inside, Oceanview and Balcony cabins per person double occupancy. In the middle of summer the prices are higher. For example the Hubbard Glacier cruise beginning July 6 is priced at $929, $1229 and $1779. But remember, the premium for a view is definitely worth considering; waking to sunrise on a fjord is an experience you will never forget.
Princess Cruises - Princess has a long tradition in the region and is offer the May 14 sailing Balcony cabin for $1099 per person double occupancy. For a longer cruise (10 nights) and a more unique experience, you can take the Glacier Bay cruise on 4 different dates. This National Park allows very limited access due to the fragile nature of the ecosystem. The pricing for the Balcony and Inside cabins is $2199 and $1399 per person double occupancy.
Holland America Line - Holland America has one of the most extensive Alaska offerings. The May 24 Alaska Explorer itinerary roundtrip from Seattle offers pricing of $699 for an inside cabin and $1299 for a Verandah Suite per person double occupancy.
Silversea - Luxury and quiet...what could be more heavenly? Oceanview suites start at $4078 per person double occupancy, including airfare and at $5118 for a Verandah Suite. These prices are for the mid-season June 28 sailing.
Unless otherwise noted pricing does not include airfare or government taxes and fees.
